The project focuses on developing environmental competencies and raising awareness about the state of nature and the importance of its protection among inhabitants of selected cross-border regions in Slovakia and Ukraine. Through outdoor educational activities, the project seeks to engage young people, sparking their interest in environmental science and nurturing the potential next generation of researchers. A network of cross-border laboratories will support the development of scientific skills, providing practical experience and fostering collaboration among students and young scientists. By increasing knowledge and capabilities in environmental research, the project contributes to long-term conservation efforts and empowers the local population to actively participate in protecting their natural environment.
