BusinessBridge is a cross-border initiative aimed at fostering economic cooperation between the border regions of Ukraine, Hungary, and Romania. The project seeks to strengthen partnerships between business support organizations, attract investment, and improve the environment for entrepreneurship in the regions of Zakarpattia and Ivano-Frankivsk (Ukraine), Maramureș (Romania), and Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg (Hungary).
To achieve this, the project includes several key activities:
A comprehensive analysis of the economic potential of the participating regions, with a focus on identifying promising sectors for investment and cross-border business cooperation;
The creation of a digital economic information platform, offering up-to-date data on business opportunities, financial instruments, and potential partners;
A series of training events and study visits for business support institutions to enhance their capacity to assist entrepreneurs and foster investment;
Organization of an investment forum and investor tours, connecting local businesses with potential partners and investors across borders.
The expected results of the project include improved institutional capacity of business support organizations, greater access to economic information and investment opportunities, and stronger international partnerships among businesses. These outcomes will contribute to the overall goals of the Interreg VI-A NEXT Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine Programme by supporting inclusive economic development, cross-border networking, and the long-term resilience of border communities.
Ultimately, BusinessBridge will help build a more connected and competitive economic area, offering real benefits to SMEs, investors, and institutions working to develop the regional economy.
