A new initiative, BusinessBridge – Business Cooperation for the Development of Cross-Border Regions, has been launched to foster economic cooperation between the border regions of Ukraine, Hungary, and Romania. The project aims to support businesses in finding partners, accessing professional consultations, and expanding opportunities for international cooperation.
On February 14, 2025, a press conference was held in Uzhhorod, Ukraine, to officially introduce the project to the public. The event gathered representatives from project partners, regional authorities, and the business community to discuss the project’s objectives and expected impact. It took place in an atmosphere of constructive dialogue, where partners formally presented their roles and emphasized the importance of uniting efforts to achieve common goals.
The project is implemented by the Regional Development Agency of Zakarpattia Oblast and the Regional Development Agency of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast in Ukraine, the Development Center for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Maramureș (EUROPE DIRECT Maramureș) in Romania, and Tisza EGTC in Hungary. The project duration is from Feburary 2025 to July 2026, with a total budget of €340,227.88, co-financed by the European Union with €306,205.09 in EU funding.
BusinessBridge offers SMEs, entrepreneurs, and business support organizations the opportunity to expand their networks, enhance their knowledge, and access valuable cross-border cooperation opportunities.
