The BusinessBridge project (HUSKROUA/23/RS/3.1/040) fosters stronger economic ties between Ukraine, Hungary, and Romania by connecting business support institutions, identifying investment opportunities, and creating a shared digital platform for entrepreneurs.
First exchanges and study visits
The project partners have already held several online coordination meetings to plan upcoming activities and ensure all partners are fully engaged. In September, the first cross-border study visit took place in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county (HU), where delegations from Ukraine and Romania explored the local business environment and investment potential.
Participants visited leading companies such as NDH Invest (flooring production) and Master Good (food industry), as well as the Kisvárda Business Incubator, industrial parks in Nagykálló and Nyíregyháza, and local SMEs like Warda Coffee Roasters. These visits offered valuable opportunities to learn directly from business representatives, exchange ideas, and discover practical examples of effective investments and infrastructure development.
In October, a follow-up exchange is planned in Ivano-Frankivsk (UA), where partners will meet with local enterprises and business support institutions to further strengthen cross-border collaboration and identify new areas for joint action.
Looking ahead
The project will also carry out an in-depth analysis of regional economic potential, develop a cross-border digital information platform for businesses, and host an investment forum and investor tours.

By linking entrepreneurs, business support institutions, and investors across borders, BusinessBridge is laying the foundations for a more connected and competitive regional economy. The project helps SMEs gain visibility, attracts investment, and fosters long-term partnerships that can boost growth and resilience in the Hungary–Romania–Ukraine border area.
