Baia Sprie hosted an International Football Event within the Bridging Borders by Culture project, bringing together young participants from Romania, Ukraine, Hungary and Slovakia in an atmosphere of teamwork, friendship and intercultural exchange.
The event welcomed 75 participants from the partner countries, in addition to the local team, with 25 participants representing each partner country. During the four-day programme, football became a common language connecting young people from different communities and encouraging fair play, cooperation and mutual respect.
Beyond the sporting activities, the programme offered participants opportunities to interact, discover the local community and build new friendships across borders.
By combining sport with intercultural exchange, the event contributed to stronger connections between the four partner communities and demonstrated how joint activities can support lasting cross-border cooperation.
