As part of the implementation of the international OTRACON SK-UA project, IDS Východ, Ltd. is actively strengthening its cooperation with the Police Force of the Slovak Republic, particularly with the Border and Foreign Police. This cooperation has proven to be especially important in organising statistical and survey activities in border regions, where coordinated and efficient mobility data collection is essential.
The police approach these activities with a high level of openness, professionalism, and willingness to assist. IDS Východ considers this support a key factor contributing to the smooth execution of field surveys and data collection, which are crucial for further transport modelling and strategic planning.
Similarly, strong cooperation has been established with partners on the Ukrainian side. Ukrainian police authorities, together with the Service for Restoration and Development of Infrastructure in Zakarpattia, provide valuable support, particularly in facilitating permitting processes required for conducting mobility surveys and questionnaire-based research in the cross-border region.
This mutual cooperation, built on open communication and a proactive approach to problem-solving, represents an important prerequisite for the successful implementation of the OTRACON project. Thanks to this support, high-quality data collection can be ensured, forming a solid basis for better understanding transport patterns and for more effective mobility planning in the Slovak-Ukrainian border area.
