Within the OTRACON SK–UA project, regular coordination meetings play a central role in shaping joint approaches to cross-border transport development. These meetings bring together experts and partners from Slovakia and Ukraine to address current strategic and technical challenges in public transport and mobility.
Discussions focus on aligning national and regional planning approaches, exchanging analytical methods, and coordinating strategic documents. Particular attention is paid to the integration of transport systems in border areas that function as a single region despite being divided by a state boundary.
An important topic is the development of cross-border transport infrastructure, including the capacity enhancement of existing border crossings and the preparation of new connections. Through professional dialogue and systematic cooperation, the coordination meetings help ensure that proposed solutions are realistic, coherent, and mutually beneficial.
By fostering continuous exchange and joint planning, the project strengthens trust between partners and lays solid foundations for long-term cooperation in transport and mobility.
