The project has as main overall objective the improvement of the water quality and emergency situations management of the Somes/Szamos and Crasna/ Kraszna rivers in the border area Satu Mare (Romania), Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg (Hungary) and Zakarpattia (Ukraine) by providing tools aimed to boost climate change adaptation and disasters/hazards risk prevention, thus contributing to the Programme SO 2.4 Objective 1.1: Climate change adaptation, risk prevention under Priority 1: A resilient and green border region. By improving water quality monitoring and data exchange, the project will contribute to better coordination and implementation of water management tasks by collaborating with decision makers from RO, HU and UA.
