On 24 March 2026, the 5th Monitoring Committee meeting of the Interreg VI-A NEXT Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine Programme was held online. During the meeting, members reviewed the state of implementation of the Programme and were informed about the closure process of the previous 2014–2020 Programme. The Monitoring Committee also adopted updates to its Rules of Procedure.
On the same day, an important step towards the future was taken with the 1st Programming Committee meeting for the next Interreg Programme between Hungary, Slovakia, Romania and Ukraine (2028–2034).
At this first meeting, the Programming Committee was formally established and the Inception Report of the territorial analysis was approved by consensus, marking the official start of the programming process.
Together, these meetings reflect both ongoing implementation and the preparation of the next programming period.
