On 21 February 2025, the official launch event for the CULT.ROUTE – Thematic Route of Castles 2 project was held in Satu Mare, Romania. The initiative brings together partners from four countries with the goal of preserving, restoring, and promoting historic castles as a vital part of Europe’s cultural heritage.
Representatives of the project’s lead partner, Satu Mare County Intercommunity Development Association, and partner organisations Department of Investment Policy of Ivano-Frankivsk City Council, Fehérgyarmat City Municipality and City Hall of Livada welcomed participants and highlighted the significance of the project, emphasizing its impact on the development of cultural tourism in the cross-border regions.
During the event, the core objectives and goals of the project were presented in detail. CULT.ROUTE aims to enhance cultural cooperation through the expansion of a thematic route that showcases the shared cultural heritage of the cross-border region. Each partner shared their vision, expertise, and expectations for the project, marking a crucial step in fostering strong collaboration.
The event also included a working session where project team representatives discussed the practical aspects of the initiative. They agreed on key milestones, addressed challenges and opportunities, and identified priority tasks for the upcoming period.
