HGuard project, forging a new path in cross-border health cooperation between Ukraine and Romania, has officially launched on February 25th, 2025. A new collaborative health project has been launched, bringing together Sighetu Marmatiei Municipal Hospital, the Central City Clinical Hospital in Ivano-Frankivsk, Sighetu Marmatiei City Hall, the Romanian Consulate in Ukraine, medical professionals, researchers, and journalists.
“This project is a testament to the power of collaboration in addressing shared health challenges,” said Daniel Radu Dunca, Manager of Sighetu Marmatiei Municipal Hospital. “By working together, we can build a healthier and more secure future for our communities.”
Taras Maslyak, Director of the Central City Clinical Hospital, underscored the importance of this cooperation, highlighting the progress made by the hospital despite the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. He also shared future cooperation plans, particularly in the area of veteran rehabilitation.
Rostyslav Kukurudz, Deputy of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Council, thanked the Romanian people for their continued support and emphasized the readiness of Ivano-Frankivsk communities to engage in active cross-border cooperation with Romanian counterparts.
This initiative marks a significant step toward creating healthier and safer communities on both sides of the border, reinforcing the power of international partnerships in overcoming shared challenges.
