Representatives of local municipalities, public authorities, water management and emergency organisations, scientists, farmers, ecologists from Ukraine and Hungary will participate in the event to discuss and get more understanding of the impact of climate change on hydrology and water availability in the target catchment area, flood risk prevention measures and how the project activities enhance the situation in the transboundary Ukrainian-Hungarian catchment area of the Batar, Palad and Tur rivers.

The AdaptWater project addresses water scarcity and flood risks in the Ukrainian-Hungarian cross-border region by improving the Batar river basin’s water management system. Through the reconstruction of hydrotechnical structures, joint monitoring, and awareness-raising activities, the project enhances resilience to climate change and ensures safer and more sustainable water use.
