Roman Catholic Church, parish Spišská Nová Ves

The project will carry out essential preparatory research - architectural-historical and art-historical survey, structural assessment, 3D scanning, dendrological assessment, and expert bell assessment - laying the technical foundation for immediate restoration. In parallel, it will establish cross-border cooperation with a partner institution to jointly research, document, and promote shared cultural heritage rooted in the common Austro-Hungarian architectural and craft tradition (architecture, organ-building, bell-founding).

Positive changes: a documented and better-protected national monument; new cross-border professional and institutional ties; shared methodology and knowledge exchange between partner countries; increased visibility of the region's cultural heritage; a foundation for a future full-scale restoration project.

Directly involved: the parish and its project coordinator, the cross-border partner institution(s), and the relevant regional heritage authority supervising the research.

Beneficiaries: the local community, heritage professionals, tourists, and the wider cross-border region through strengthened cultural ties and tourism potential.
