The Interreg VI-A NEXT Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine Programme has reached a major milestone: as of June 2025, 53 cross-border cooperation projects have successfully signed their subsidy contracts and officially launched their implementation.
With a total EU contribution exceeding 41 million EUR, these initiatives represent a substantial investment in cross-border cooperation, sustainable development, and regional resilience.
The funded projects cover all three Programme priorities. Many focus on improving healthcare access, preserving biodiversity, and enhancing cultural connections, while others address climate adaptation, risk prevention, and border security cooperation. Together, they demonstrate the broad thematic reach and local relevance of the Programme across the border regions.

The HUSKROUA NEXT Programme will continue to provide updates on project implementation and achievements. We extend our appreciation to all project partners and stakeholders contributing to the shared goal of a more connected, resilient, and inclusive border region.
