Satu Mare, March 25, 2025 – The Association for Intercommunity Development Satu Mare County, in partnership with the Regional Development Agency Zakarpattia (Ukraine), the city of Nagykálló (Hungary), and the cities of Ardud and Livada (Romania), has launched the 4YOURSMILE project to enhance access to dental care for children in the cross-border region of Romania, Hungary, and Ukraine.
With a total budget of 672,450.10 EUR, including 605,205.07 EUR co-financed by the European Union through the Interreg VI-A NEXT Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine Programme, the project aims to establish two modern dental offices in Ardud and Livada, while also upgrading three existing facilities in Uzhhorod (Ukraine) and Nagykálló (Hungary).
Over the next two years, more than 3,000 children will benefit from dental prevention and oral hygiene programs, complemented by educational and awareness-raising initiatives for children, parents, and teachers.
Running from March 1, 2025, to February 28, 2027, the project underscores a shared commitment to ensuring healthier futures for children through improved and equitable dental care access across borders.
