Together4Health is a cross-border initiative that brings together the communities of Moisei (Romania) and Solotvyno (Ukraine) to strengthen healthcare services and improve the well-being of residents in the border region. The project addresses common challenges related to outdated medical infrastructure, limited access to specialized care, and insufficient cooperation between neighboring healthcare systems.
The project’s main objectives are to renovate and modernize medical facilities, equip them with essential and advanced medical devices, and establish lasting partnerships between medical professionals across the border. In Moisei, the local dispensary will undergo full rehabilitation, receive new dental and diagnostic equipment (including an ultrasound device and telemedicine tools), and be furnished to meet current standards. Similarly, Solotvyno will improve its healthcare services and infrastructure in line with shared needs.
A key element of Together4Health is joint professional development. Medical staff from both countries will participate in training sessions, workshops, and exchange visits to improve their skills in areas like emergency response, chronic disease management, maternal and child care, and mental health.
The project also includes the creation of a cross-border strategic cooperation plan, developed with input from both communities, to ensure long-term collaboration and sustainability beyond the project’s duration.
Communication and visibility actions—such as conferences, media campaigns, and community outreach—will ensure transparency and engage local residents throughout the implementation period.
By investing in infrastructure, training, and cooperation, Together4Health contributes to the Interreg HUSKROUA Programme’s goals of improving public services and strengthening regional ties. Ultimately, it helps build a healthier, more connected, and more resilient border area for both Romanian and Ukrainian citizens.
