The public procurement procedure for the modernization of the lighting system of the Petea Border Police Sector, worth €423,500, was completed on January 28, 2026. The procedure is currently undergoing financial evaluation, and the winner will be announced and the works contract signed as soon as possible.
The GreenLight project strengthens cross-border security by enhancing cooperation among the Romanian, Hungaran and Ukrainian Border Police. Through joint efforts and infrastructure improvements, the initiative contributes to a safer border region.

GreenLight aims to improve border management and regional securtiy through enhanced operational cooperation between the Romanian, Hungarian, and Ukrainian Border Police. The project supports the development of infrasturcture and coordinated cross-border actions, ensuring more effective responses to common challenges. By aligning with the Programme’s Objective 3.2 A safer and more secure Europe, the project directly contributes to regional stability and trust through improved institutional collaboration.
