The project breathes life into history by preserving the architectural treasures of Sabinov, Slovakia, and Uzhhorod, Ukraine, using state-of-the-art technology. Its main activities will include 3D mapping, scanning, and photogrammetry of selected buildings. We will create detailed 3D models of seven iconic historical sites, including Uzhhorod Castle, Sabinov’s historic centre, and other significant landmarks such as the Roman Catholic Church of St. John the Baptist (Sabinov), the Evangelical Church (Sabinov), the Castle Fortifications, the Roman Catholic Church of the Virgin Mary (Sabinov), and the Town Bell Tower.
These digital reconstructions will be integrated into new attractions and innovative tools for promoting cultural heritage. Beyond preserving our shared historical legacy, the project will open new opportunities for educational programmes and scientific research, enabling people to immerse themselves in the rich tapestry of our past.
