The DigiTech Healthcare project aims to improve access to quality healthcare in the Slovak-Ukrainian cross-border region by introducing digital tools and telemedicine solutions. The region faces limited access to doctors and specialists—this project directly addresses those challenges by establishing and modernizing medical facilities that can connect patients with healthcare professionals remotely.
Key activities include the creation of new outpatient clinics in Prešov (Slovakia) and the upgrade of an existing primary care center in Velykyi Bereznyi (Ukraine), and the purchase of modern medical equipment and digital technologies. Telemedicine kits will allow for remote examinations and data collection. A wide range of medical devices will also be installed—from ultrasound and spirometry to diagnostic analyzers and emergency equipment—ensuring high-quality, modern care.
Cross-border workshops and knowledge exchange between Slovak and Ukrainian professionals will help strengthen healthcare management and foster cooperation. By improving infrastructure, equipment, and expertise, the project supports the Interreg NEXT Programme’s goals of equal access to healthcare and stronger regional integration.
