Project Summary
The project envisages ensuring and improving the quality of medical services in the Slovak-Ukrainian border area through joint investment and improvement of the material and technical base of the Perechyn hospital and the Sobrantse hospital through the implementation of infrastructural and investment activities, the organization of study visits and educational activities aimed at improving the quality of medical services in the target regions .
The number of beds in the children’s department is extremely small, since the inpatient children’s department is located in the place that is unsuitable for it and often does not meet the quantitative needs of the territory served by the medical institution.
The activities of the project allow organise appropriate conditions for children and their parents and through the educational activities and programmes decrease the level of childhood morbidity in the target regions.
As a result of the implementation of the project will be reconstructed 1 building, which will house the children’s department of the Perechyn hospital, 80 medical workers will improve their knowledge thanks to conducting 2 trainings on the exchange of experience and develop 2 programs for the prevention of diseases among children and rehabilitation measures aimed at improving their condition after treatment and preventing the development of various pathologies.
An innovative element of the project is the use of ergotherapy and the use of color therapy in the treatment of children with hyperactive syndrome, neuroses and post-stress consequences, which are relevant considering the events in Ukraine over the past 2 years.
