AI-BioForest develops an open-source AI toolkit for sustainable forest bioeconomy in the Carpathians (RO–UA–SK–HU). By combining Copernicus satellite data and drone imagery, the tool predicts sustainable yields, carbon stocks, and forest health risks such as Ips typographus outbreaks and windthrows. The project will train 200 stakeholders, monitor 50 ha pilot forests, and produce a policy brief for integrating AI into forest and biodiversity management, benefiting 5,000 local residents through smarter, greener forest practices.
